Week of March 23rd- May 12

Ages 7-12yrs

This class is designed for 7-10 year olds! Come hang out with other students (virtually!) and explore the beauty of self expression. We will incorporate modern art history, exposure to new materials + practice, and proper technique into this varied and exciting curriculum. In this session, we will be studying artists like Howard Finster, St EOM of Pasequan, Louise Bourgeois Wassily Kandinsky, Andy Warhol, Gustav Klimt, YOYO Ferro, and Louise Nevelson.  Projects will range from folk art, sculpture, art environments, printmaking and more! This is an inspiring and informative class with some of our brightest and sweetest stars. Join us to see what the fuss is all about!

Class sessions will be individually prepped by assignment and ready for students to quickly begin creating! Please have at home scissors, glue, markers and tempera paints. Any other art supplies required for this virtual class will be supplied by Treehouse!

Instructor: Panda is one of the original virtual art teachers of Treehouse, as of this summer! Panda is a native Virginian and got her degree in Drawing and Painting from UGA many moons ago. She has been teaching art to wee ones for several years and has loved every single minute of it! Besides painting portraits and doing fun recycled art projects, she enjoys spending time with family, making a huge mess in the kitchen, and playing with her naughty but sweet little beagle.

Cancellation Policy:
If you sign up for a class and cannot make it, just let us know.  We will make sure you get the recorded session from the day you missed.

Safety Policy
All classes are organized and designed appropriately for specific age groups in order to create artwork safely in one's own home. Though adult supervision isn't required, some students may ask for assistance beyond virtual instruction! Treehouse is not responsible for any colorful art messes or accidents in this virtual class. It is our goal to provide the safest experience for our TREEHOUSE families.
