Edmond the Thing

Edmond: The Thing is about a squirrel named Edmond, his friend George Owl, and a scary creature who simply appears one day, whom they call "the Thing." With its brightly-colored fur and piercing eyes, the Thing frightens Edmond and George, who run away from the unfamiliar creature. 

But a day later, thanks to some fortifying green cookies and an excellent disguise on George's part, Edmond and George realize that the Thing isn't quite so terrifying after all.
