ART LAB | 7-12 years

Calling all art kids!- This one is for you!  We have designed this class for students who love using their hands, imagination, and want to grow their art skills.  We will explore drawing from life, paint technique, color mixing, sculpture, and more. 

We know our schools do a great job teaching art in the classroom. This class will take your art loving child to a new level and teach advanced techniques, explore new materials, and create some really awesome works of art!  It is our goal to provide our students with an elevated foundation of art that will guide them creatively through life.

Instructor(s):  Kristen Bach and Shaunia Grant. (rotating instructors)

Kristen Bach ~ Kristen is the founder and creative chaos creator at TREEHOUSE.  She has been teaching for 20+ years and it's her life goal to create quality classes and a space for art kids.  She has professionally taught art in the public schools, ACC jail, and Georgia Museum of Art, and more!  When she is not creating messes and running a small business you can find her hanging out with her family, making art, or tap dancing.  

Shaunia Grant ~  Shaunia is a local artist and educator who received their MFA from UGA.  When they are not at TREEHOUSE teaching you can find them teaching other places around town like Lyndon House and making work in their own studio.  Everyone is a big Shaunia fan and she loves teaching kids! 

2025-2026 TREEHOUSE CLASS CALENDAR

August 18-Oct 17 :: 9 weeks

Oct 20-Dec 19 :: 8 weeks  no class thanksgiving week 

Jan 12-march 13 :: 9 weeks No class Spring Break 

March 16 -May 22

~If you are joining mid-session, sign up and we will prorate you for your missed classes

Cancellation Policy:  If you register for a session and can't attend, please inform us 72 hours prior; we'll refund you, less a $20 security deposit. Regrettably, if we're not notified, no refund can be issued. Our staff and instructors carefully prepare for each spot in our classes. Funds from no-shows will be allocated to the many scholarships and donations we give throughout the year.

Make-up classes  may be made on Saturdays within the same session, unless otherwise approved.  Sign up for make ups on our class calendar and select "class makeup"

Safety Policy + Drop Off Waiver:
All classes are organized, supervised, and equipped to allow dropping-off of students, unless otherwise noted.  Our liability must be signed prior to class and can be found here.
