Digital Character development + comics
All students must have taken our Digital Drawing course (camp or class), taken a private intro session, or have a good understanding in the procreate program.
NOTE: all students must come prepared with an Ipad, digital pencil, and the app Procreate (I believe this is a lifetime purchase of $13.99)
This week we will be developing our very own characters on paper and via our digital mediums. Learning new techniques will help us as artists discover our personal styles and learn how to show emotion and tell stories through our own artwork.
*** All of our digital art classes may incorporate some physical art making as well because we feel that it is still important to put the pen to the paper and learn through physical experiences as well as digital experiences .
Instructor : Tomo Womo
Tomo is an illustrator and graphic designer with a degree in Graphic design and communications, and over a decade of professional experience doing everything from commissioned character design to furniture magazine layouts. From children's books to action/adventure stories, monsters to nature, she's drawn it all, but her favorite illustrations are romantic! Cancellation Policy: If you sign up for a camp and can no longer attend, please call or email us to let us know. Cancellations made within 14 days before the start of camp will be allowed a refund less a $20 admin fee. Camps cancelled less than 14 days prior to the start of camp can not be refunded. We apologize but we put a lot of energy into materials and preparation. These fees will be put towards the many scholarships and donations that we give throughout the year.
If you miss any summer camp days, you can make up classes on Saturdays. Please sign up online for a make up session.
Safety Policy + Drop Off Waiver: All classes are organized and fully staffed to drop off students. If you choose to stay here, that is fine too. If you choose to drop off your child for a class, you MUST fill out a waiver and sign IN and OUT. This is for contact tracing! It is our goal to provide the safest experience for our TREEHOUSE families.
