make it work : a fashion redo camp

Bored of your clothes? Let’s fix that. Strike a pose and give old favorites a fresh new life in this hands-on DIY fashion camp. Campers will bring in garments from home that need a little love and transform them into bold, wearable art through screen printing, dyeing, redesign, embellishment, and creative experimentation.

This camp is all about personal style, sustainable creativity, and confidence—learning how to remix basic pieces into one-of-a-kind statements that feel 100% you. We’ll explore color, texture, accessories, and reworking techniques while encouraging each young designer to take risks, solve creative challenges, and make it work their way.

Perfect for teens who love fashion, thrifting, art, and self-expression, campers will leave with redesigned clothing, new skills, and a wardrobe full of pieces they’re excited to wear.

Instructor: April Stephens

April is a passionate educator who believes learning should be joyful, meaningful, and full of discovery. With a teaching philosophy centered on student-centered learning, she creates a classroom where every child is celebrated for their unique strengths and supported in their growth. Ms. Stephens brings dynamic energy, compassion, and a good sense of humor to everything she does—whether she's delivering engaging lessons or cheering on her students' progress. When she's not teaching, you can find her exploring local thrift stores, seeing live music, curling up to watch a movie or crafting anything using repurposed materials!

Cancellation Policy: If you sign up for a camp and can no longer attend, please call or email us to let us know.  Cancellations made within 14 days before the start of camp will be allowed a refund less a $20 admin fee.  Camps cancelled less than 14 days prior to the start of camp can not be refunded. We apologize but we put a lot of energy into materials and preparation.  These fees will be put towards the many scholarships and donations that we give throughout the year.
