Fresh off of our annual summer break, summer camps were back and another great week in the books! This week was all about the girls!! We started the day with a small, but amazing group of strong young ladies! I Love Me Camp was all about building confidence through drawing, collage, multimedia, and writing projects. Throughout the week they created their own worry dolls (who doesn’t remember making these as a kid!!), zentangles, peace flags with empowering quotes, treasure jars, and confident bowls. We love art too Frances…so sweet! Suraj painting her confident bowls that they had made using papier-mache. The bowls were a way for them to store whatever helps them with building confidence. Addie working on her Zentangle! Juno adding sweet touches to her treasure jar…where they put anything that inspires them! Worry dolls…we just loved the outfits, so creative! You can do it!! In Textile Design + Fibers camp, the campers used different techniques to create their own bird wings, needle felted dolls, sun prints, and Cora showing off her needle felted woodland doll…loved the details! Their bird wings they created using foam stamps they cut out! Their felted necklaces…they used a technique taking wet wool and rolling it into a ball to make beads! Piper stamping her fabric…can you believe that these stamps were made of potatoes? Love the colors! Tie-dye peace flags! One of our favorite ways of printing…sun prints!!
