Chatting with BASIL about dressing up

The other day I sat down for an interview with Basil Maddox, a 5 year old Treehouse Crafter and Chase Street Elementary student.  Basil has been known around town for his super costumes that he makes, creates, and wears on a daily basis.  He is always inspiring us!

K:  Who is your favorite character to dress up as?   B:  Frankenstein, I was going to be a witch for Halloween but I didn’t have all of the suits.  So I made my own Frankenstein mask.

K:  What do you want to be when you grow up?    B:  A firefighter

K:  If you could have any superpower what would it be?    B:  A fire hose

K:  If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?    B:  Corn Soup (he said this without a pause)

K:  What advice do you give to teenagers who like to dress up and go trick or treating?  B:  You need to know that you will get candy and be careful of twigs because the night sky is pretty dark

K:  What is your favorite costume that you have ever worn?   B:  Skeleton, because they are all bones

K:  Who is your favorite character?  B:  Hulk and Peter Pan

K:  Who is your favorite superhero?  B:  Spiderman

K: If you could have 1 superhero power what would it be and why?  B:  To call out to my friend fairies because they are my friends and I want them to do treasure hunts with me and Bea and Camille

K:  If you could meet anyone famous who would it be?  B: A mugician  K:  what is a mugician?  B:  He’s a punk rock…….but I can’t remember his name.  He sings White Wedding and Dancing With Myself.  K:  Oh Billy Idol?  B:  Yes, How did you ever know?

K:  Do you have any questions for me?  B:  Why did you want to get shwings at TREEHOUSE?  K:  They are pretty cool  B:  I think you knew that I love them so much

Basil, Thanks so much for letting us interview you!
