Meet our amazing Teachers!

Brittany is an Atlanta native back in Athens to study art education but this isn’t her first time creating art or working with kids. Back in 2008 she graduated from UGA with a sculpture degree then spent some time seein’ the world. Brittany was lucky enough to teach in Italy, South Korea and India where she discovered, just like back in the states, creative kids that were fun to be around. The Center for Puppetry Arts has been her home for the past three years where she taught and created teeny tiny costumes for some fine lookin’ puppets. Her current work can be spotted sewn to light posts downtown! She is constantly making, anything from dinner for friends to quilts for family. Brittany loves books, flowers, to collect old things and to take her hound dog Ada on long walks to explore.

Lindsay is a lifelong DIY-er originally from Florida. She dabbles in everything from fiber arts and painting, to paper sculpture and printmaking and sells her wares locally and in her Etsy shop. She has a degree in English Literature from University of South Florida and her greatest accomplishment is her four creative and spunky children! Lindsay began teaching both adult and children’s classes at treehouse in March 2012.

Keara is very excited to serve the families of Athens at  Treehouse Kid and Craft.  She started my career in children’s education in 2009 as the art director for the Greensboro Children’s Museum in North Carolina, where she developed programs and taught art for 300-500 children a week.  Since moving to Athens to pursue her Master’s in Art Education at UGA, Keara has worked teaching children at a number of local organizations.  She developed monthly children’s classes at Heirloom Café and taught preschool at Little Ones Academy.  Since Summer 2012, she has taught as a lead art camp and afterschool class teacher at Lyndon House Art Center for elementary aged students, and a lead preschool teacher at Arrow.  Keara looks forward to meeting you and your little ones soon!
