fabric printing

Today we were inspired by the interesting shapes of everyday objects! We found that beautiful patterns can be created just by using things you already have at home!

You will need:

– Fabric (we used muslin)

– Paint (you can use acrylic or water-based paint)

– Any object that will create a fun shape (we used a bottle cap, a cookie cutter, bubble wrap, and a lid from a baby food jar)

– A serger to finish the edges

Step One: cut your shape out of the fabric, we used a simple rectangle.

Step Two: print your fabric.

Step Three: serge the edges, if you would like.

You can then use your fabric for placemats, napkins, or anything you can think of!
